Event Description:

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) provides high quality drinking water to 2.7 million people in the Bay Area through the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System; operates a combined sewer system, collecting and treating both wastewater and stormwater within San Francisco; and generates hydro-electric and solar power. In 2016, the SFPUC adopted a OneWaterSF approach to integrated resource management, actively working across the utility to identify synergies across water, wastewater, and energy boundaries and put the right resource to the right use.  The SFPUC is diversifying its water supply portfolio as part of the OneWaterSF approach through implementation of its Local Water Program, which includes the Groundwater Program, Water Conservation Program, Recycled Water Program, Onsite Reuse Program, and Innovations Program.
